After Update: Does Husk Of The Pit still exist?

Did Bungie make a dumb mistake by eliminating Husk of the pit from Destiny or is it still plain hard to obtain. Anyways if they didn't, why not just make it a random Exotic drop?

Only way to get it now is from the Hand of Crota mission. There aren't any other Blades of Crota anymore.
