I have a simple solution. Allow us to trade armor materials for weapon parts. I have 578 hadronic essence and only 5 weapon parts left. They're just going to sit there. Let us convert them / trade them for weapon parts, dudes! Rerolling is one of the best parts of the DLC. Let us enjoy it. Help us enjoy it. Build new code so we can enjoy it.
EDIT:
You dimwits are all saying the same thing. "I have a 1000 weapon parts". You also suck at math and closely behind that, reality:
- They have cranked up the drop rate of legendaries.
- Trials and the prison are dropping legendaries
- they've increased the marks we get for PVE and PVP
- that last point means we can buy guns more often
- lastly, nearly every gun starts off with sorta lame perks
- that means you're going to reroll
Unless you get lucky on the first few rolls you tend to blow through weapon parts at about 80 per "I'm happy with this weapon". Sometimes it may cost 150 parts. Who knows? My point is that all of you "Stop building the ark. It's never going to rain" ass hats, WILL run out of weapon parts. That's why I'm suggesting an armor materials trade for them. As for the super nerds with three characters and 4000 parts, congrats on overplaying Destiny to an obese and borderline immoral degree.

I like this guy. He knows what he wants. Just a suggestion, buy some uncommon armor/guns at their vendors and dismantle immediently for parts.

Edited by Kardain: 5/30/2015 7:21:49 AM"we're all" being an all inclusive phrase, I think I'm quite fine on weapon parts. Please update your title to remove the all inclusive portion. Kthx. Edit, thanks to the new weapons being a waste of time and resources to even think about re-rolling, my stockpile is increasing steadily.

Needs an exchange!! I have too many marks and nothing to spend it on. 10 marks for 20 weapon parts I'd be happy as hell
-
I have 500 on each guy
-
I'm running critically low myself. But One thing I've noticed since the last update is that the armor and weapons are only yielding one weapon or class material part for each thing dismantled. And regardless whether it's a green, blue, legendary, or exotic. leveled or unleveled it seems to make no difference. I used to Max up my blues and greens when I turned in bounties for maximum weapon parts. Now we can't seem to do that. What gives?

You're the first person I've ever heard to not have enough weapon parts. To that effect, you really shouldn't use words like we're, us, etc in your feedback posts. Tends to overgeneralise and put readers on the defensive, most people don't like being put into groups or told that they're running low on parts when they're most assuredly not. Clutters up a thread to no end and makes it near impossible to get either support or constructive criticism, which subsequently makes the thread pretty much useless. Just a tip for any future feedback you may decide to make. That being said, there's really no need for any sort of material exchange outside of maybe allowing a mark-mats trade. It's extremely easy to get the stuff with a bit of effort, and you only need to get a roll right once before you start stockpiling them again. Given that a perfectly rolled weapon tends to be good regardless of type and whatnot, it's typically worth the effort of farming if low on mats.

Muted.

Look for blue engrams and dismantle every blue weapon. You get like 400 everyday if you do that.
-
Go on a strike spree. Ull have plenty of weapon parts
-
I have over 1500 weapon parts. But I also have almost 1900 hours of game time, too.
-
False.

Whether you have more than you need or you don't have enough, since we can already buy the other upgrade materials we need, why not be able to buy weapon and armour materials the same way? Me personally, I have no use for my vanguard marks, I would like to be able to buy weapon parts without using glimmer to buy weapons just to dismantle them. For those saying grind for it, well why should I have to when I can already buy the other upgrade materials needed.
-
Weapon parts were near useless prior to reforging. Now, we guardians are running low. They probably gonna do something with armor parts in the next dlc as it is pretty much useless right now.
-
I would just like to buy weapon and armor parts for marks. Nothing much to add to that.
-
I have 2,000+ weapon parts....I'm not running low. You are
-
Edited by wholeshizer: 5/29/2015 2:04:46 PMI have well over 1000 on my warlock still All those legendaries that are dropping???? Break them down asshat you don't need every -blam!-ing weapon.....if the stats are shit you don't like the way it handles then drop it and use one you do like
-
No we aren't
-
I have thousands of weapons parts. Literally thousands. It only cost 5 Weapon parts to reroll. Once you put th time in like Vault Veterans have, you'll be able to reroll weapons all day long.
-
Or allow purchase of weapon parts with glimmer. Whenever the Gunsmith has Rare weapons for sale, I buy them just to dismantle them for weapon parts. But that is an annoying palaver that requires me to make room in my character inventory just to purchase said weapon to dismantle, and inserts needless steps into what should be a straight forward purchase of weapon parts from the Gunsmith. :P
-
Lol stop trying to reforge the perfect gun and be happy with what you have
-
That sucks. I have like 4,700 armor upgrade materials and 3,000 weapon parts. I think you just need to play the game some more. Bungie has already ruined the game by catering to the casuals so much in my opinion.
-
Get out there and start picking up greens. Earn it
-
I'm in the same situation
-
I do feel the jihad
-
You should be able to exchange them for class mats from the gunsmith.
