I used to get destroyed all the time, but I used those loses to get better.
Whatever it was I was doing when I lost, I stopped doing. Almost actually... I do still love to play Rambo when I'm a Striker.
Um... I play Titan only. My k/d is consistently positive.
A few things that helped me:
1. I got a new controller. My previous one had a busted right stick. Looking down was painfully slow. Had to back peddle or use auto center to right myself. So, yeah, make sure your equip is working. Sounds dumb, but it happens.
2. I slowed down until I could speed back up. Yeah, it felt cheap at first. I was all but camping. It helped me recognize the patterns in all the chaos. For example, I was able to pinpoint popular sniping locations, and not to stand in their line of sight. Looking at you Shores of Time. Once you have more knowledge about maps and player habit, you can go back to high speed chess.
3. Vertical play. Never had to worry about someone double or triple jumping over my head in other FPS's really. In the beginning, I seldom looked up at all. Why? No one jumps to put a shot gun round in the top of someone's head in the other games. Hell can you even jump that high in Halo? CoD?
4. I began to play with confidence no matter what. Oh, you use Thorn huh? Sniper shot gun? You're the highest level available, and this is iron Banner huh? None of that matters, I am going to win. Oh, you just killed me huh? I don't know who you were, but I will find you, and I will kill you lol.
