I don't know about that, if I said I disagree with black people, it would be recognised as bigotry. Do you think gay people deserve the same rights as heterosexuals? Or are they somehow lesser?

  • I think your reply was directed towards me it was hard to tell. To your first comment, someone can say you're a bigot, that doesn't make it true. Disagreeing with someone is not bigotry. The definition of it never mentions disagreement. Same rights? What do you mean? If you mean that a gay couple can't get married, no they should not have that right. It isn't a right, but a definition of what something is. As far as how they are treated by the government? Why shouldn't they be the same. As for someone being lesser, I don't think I'm better than anyone. I struggle everyday just like the next person.

  • You have ignored my questions, but replied to other posts. I would appreciate an answer if you have one.

  • Sorry I was getting to them randomly and hadn't gotten to yours yet. I think it would recognized by the courts yeah. All that stuff (tax breaks) is derived from the government, not the bible, so I presume that's how it'd be. Professing love? I'll be honest, I have gay friends. I've known them my whole life. This is gonna be one of those things that is hard to get used to. You must understand, the bible calls it an abomination, so it's not going to be one of the things Christians root for. I'm sure it will make people uneasy.

  • I didn't ask how it would be, I asked whether they deserved the same rights.

  • So do gay people have the right to settle with a long term partner in a way that is recognised by the courts? Do they get to profess love for one another and symbolise their union? And do they get the same tax breaks etc as straight couples?
