The only good pulse for PvP is timepiece. It just so happens to be the best weapon in the game at that, if you want to use something else the only other viable one is JuJu.
Messenger is good for PvE if you have a burn on it due to its insane impact.

This is actually horrible advice. Get good with one of the exotic hand cannons. I resisted forever, but they do make it easy.

I love the thorn but was just trying to use something different hah. Thorn feels so cheap to me.

I would try The Last Word or Hawkmoon. If you want to try something besides a hand cannon - Mida, Red Death or Bad Juju work well when upgraded. I think exotics work best as a primary. If you are bored and want to try something else, The Red Hand is legit or mess with some of the new legendaries. Good luck to you, and hope you make it to Mercury this weekend.

True. I always forget about Vex, that gun is making a resurgence. So powerful up close, it really depends on your playing style. Just always adjust to each gun. Both the Mida and the Vex are designed for different play styles. On the days you feel like being more aggressive, use the vex. On days you want to play more conservative, go with the Mida.
