Someone as organized and well spoken as OP would make an amazing Clan leader.
No disrespect to your opinion or feedback. Trying to make helpful suggestions.

Political bash!. And hey don't forget us doing year round grad school. Sometimes trying to be a doctor gets in the way of my gaming
nah don't worry people my priorities are the other way around ;)
The future of Destiny will be forged by thinking differently, breaking paradigms and joining together in a shared vision of tackling the toughest challenges before us. I kindly ask you to reconsider.

I'm self-bumping this.

I feel pretty bad for. You got stuck with one of the most toxic communities in gaming history right up there with league of legends. If you can't tell, the developers probably already know about the matchmaking thing. Deej is our voice, but sometimes a voice gets over ruled by the higher ups. Give the guy a break. He added it to the list in feedback. What else do you want?

DeeJ is a toadie
-
what else do we want? matchmaking for all end game activities in the game. wtf does the wishlist mean? nothing...

Edited by Pie297: 6/11/2015 1:08:38 AMWhat does deej mean then? That's how he is supposed to reach the devs. You can treat him like its his fault you don't have it. I agree with the matchmaking stance, but it look like deej is defusing the situation as best as he can.

I'm in a clan of 200+ and it's still difficult to gather a team for a raid during my time. I've literally raided VoG and Crota both hard mode with no communication between teammates. I honestly didn't think it was going to work out, but after the first section of each raid I realized everyone knew what they were doing with out communicating. I honestly thought it was absolutely amazing! Our characters acted for us, kind of like sign language. A lot of players don't want to do raids anymore or they've just moved on due to the poor rewards and bad glitches associated with a raid. I do especially enjoy taking new players through a raid, but of course it must be done in normal for their first time. Which sucks for me, because I'm rewarded with shards and maybe a duplicate. I really believe matchmaking would bring a whole new aspect to destiny. It would be a way for others to create friends and eventually allowing some of the more shy players to open up. Implement a meeting area like in the bar at the tower. Where guardians can congregate and seek like minded guardians instead of soliciting each other through interact and message. It could look something like this. VoG team raid search: input your GT,experience, weapons and character's. Once all is imputed go about conducting ordinary business. When a team is formed you'll receive a message and you have 5 minutes to join or be replaced. There won't be a specific fire team leader either. This will also require a headset or some means of communication. The same can be done for every raid, PoE, nightfall and ToO. You want us to be a team, make friends create our destiny. But you put a huge road block in doing so. Not everyone feels socially acceptable until someone helps them break free of this awkwardness. By allowing MM can easily help others overcome this fear once they realize not everyone is an asshole and there's a lot of players willing to help and stand up for them. Look Deej! Your numbers don't lie and from my understanding there is a very small percentage of guardians that have completed the raids and or other content. Mainly due to the fact they're unable to connect with other players. I've journeyed around all of destiny and help as many as I can. This is were I realize there's a lot of guardians missing out on the best part of this game. Please give us a good explanation as to why optional matchmaking wouldn't be a good idea?

You either missed the point or you're ignoring it.
-
Completely agree. How about people put their energy into solving the problem with the resources bungie provides rather than complaining about something that doesn't exist and just wouldn't work for end game content. You are happy to use this app to complain but can't be bothered using it to solve your problems with something that exists now.

Make your helpful suggestions to the -blam!-ing developers

DeeJ, thanks for commenting on this topic, however you suggestion for becoming a "clan leader" is a bit of an oversimplification of the problem. From the beginning of this game the "need" for a clan has been absent from all forms of game play (with the exception of a trophy) because it adds no benefits to one's experience in Destiny. Case in point, being in a clan does not show who is (or isn't) online to play with within your own clan! That should be the simplest function of a clan. Look to how COD has evolved around the aspects of a clan and the bonuses that come from it (such as extra exp, wallpapers, etc.) and take a page from it. I thought the option to be aligned with another clan (clans with clans) was a cool idea...until it showed to be as fruitless. And let's be honest DeeJ, even if the person that started this thread and others that agreed all started clans; this still wouldn't solve the problem of matchmaking with new people coming to the game. To add optional matchmaking to this game will help old and new guardians alike. The clan options in this game, currently, is a band aid for a wound that is clearly in need of sthiches.

Got so.e brown stuff on your nose there deej.

A wild Deej, in its natural habitat.

Crikey look at that size of that beast!

Do you have the skill to drive a truck? Do you have the skill to use a joystick? You do. I've seen you play on utube. No disrespect but I believe that you have the skills to collect garbage. You should look into becoming a team leader at waste management. You meet the minimal requirements DeeJ.
-
Dam dude, that's how you feeling? I mean I don't agree with his response neither but dam..
-
.... Bit harsh
-
Their lack of response and few and flippant answers were disrespectful to us. My response is what it sounds like when it comes our way.
-
Yeah but that's not really DeeJ's fault :L you're blaming the 'mouth' here, not the 'brain'. I should imagine there are people who tell DeeJ to address certain issues with us, and the chances are that those people also ask DeeJ not to address certain issues with us, for whatever bullshit reason. I'm not saying that I totally agree with Bungie, I'm just saying that DeeJ is just doing his job
-
Also he also claimed his Personal View and was basically telling us to go screw ourselves because we were asking for something that is in every video game for the last ten years but bungie doesn't want to put into this game even though all their own previous games have had it. But now it's not good enough for us?
