Day 9: The Fanboy Wars have escalated to fighting in the forums, with the Considerate OMM supporters pushing valiantly into Fanboy territory. As expected, the Fanboys have mounted a closed(minded) defence, and are attempting to diminish our resolve with repetitive 'just accept whatever Bungie says' attacks. Thusfar, the well-structured and thoughtful arguments of the Considerates are of limited effect, as the Fanboys seem to be impervious to everything that hasn't been dictated to them by Bungie. But we shall continue the debate nonetheless

Refusing to endulge someone's insistence that "2+2=5" is not "condescension". It is showing that you respect that person enough to be able to handle the truth...and handle the fact that they are wrong. There is not "valid counter-argument" here. Bungie has made a decision here, that they are showing NO signs of backing away from. This game is nine months old now, and people have been complaining about the lack of matchmaking for the end-game content since DAY ONE.....and. 1. There is still no matchmaking for the raids. 2. There is still no matchmaking for the nighfall 3. There is no matchmaking for level 32, 34 or 35 PoE. 4. There is no matchmaking for Trials of Osiris. While Bungie has shown *some* willingness to budge on lower-level content that doesn't require significant teamwork to clear, or the dedication to work thorugh multiple failed attempts.... They have showed NO signs of budging on this question where the real hardcore end-game is concerned. So continuing to complain about this is both pointless and childish. Either find your own solution....or go play a different game.

Oh stop.... This is a -blam!-ing VIDEOGAME, not civil disobedience. You are asking for Bungie to spare you the EFFORT of actually having to make on-line friends to play with. You are not demanding that someone recognize your basic human rights and self-determination. YOU have all the power here. Except the power does NOT lay in CONTROLING what Bungie does. YOU WILL NEVER control what they do. They can----if they choose----KEEP SAYING NO until Destiny fails as a game...and until Bungie goes UNDER as a business. YOUR POWER lay in deciding WHAT YOU WILL DO in the face of the decision Bungie has CLEARLY---and UNEQUIVOCALLY---made here. 1. You can act like a grown up----accept that the deicsion is made----and either adapt to it, or go play a different game that does give you what you want. or... 2. You can continue to powerlessly whine and complain about something that Bungie has shown NO signs of backing down on. In fact----with PoEs and ToO----Bungie has in fact doubled-down on their earlier position on matchmaking and their end-game.

You are simply demanding that Bungie do for you, what you are perfectly capable of doing for yourself. In an environment that you are FREE TO LEAVE at anytime, if you don't like your circumstances. Just because you choose to PLAY a victim here, doesn't mean you ARE one, in fact.

1. No, you just part of a fairly loud and fairly obnoxious minority. Most people who have actually played through this content understands why Bungie has taken the position they have. Even if they don't fully agree with it. 2. It wasn't boring. It just hits your speil below the water line, which is why you refuse to acknowledge it. 3. Then stop ACTING like one. 1. Polling in this environment is not representative. The people who come to the forum are self-selected. They are the most passionate Destiny players...and tend to be the most NEGATIVELY passionate. IOW, they come here to register their complaints. The people who read this thread and answer the poll are again, self-selected. They are the people with the strongest FEELINGS on this topic. Which again tends to be those who are angry that there isn't matchmaking, and not those who are satisfied with the status quo. 2. Not insulting anyone....but I was referring to you. 3. No, I simply ignore comments that say more about them person making them, than they say about me. But that doesn't mean that I'm oblvious to their intent. Which is to shutdown any disagreement by trying to shame and discredit the person making the comment, rather than dealing with the merits of the comment. The tactic is called "Appeal to Ridicule".

1. Sorry Charlie. There are very clear RULES to the proper collection, use, and interpretation of statistical data. Going on polling from self-selected groups who have a stake in the outcome of the question being asked is a clear violation of those rules. 2. It was. Just not the one you wanted. 3. Wow. Rare to see someone wear their prejudices so prominently and so proudly. 1. Kelly is my LAST name. 2. green is a work related inside/visual joke that I made part of my gamertag. 3. My picture is of a WARLOCK...which is my primary character....who just happens to be female 4. I argue "incessantly" because I don't intimidate or shame easily. I have a lifetimes experience in dealing with would be bullies, so I'm fairly resistant to their favorite tactics to shutdown debate or disagreement. Sorry.
