Is there a good source of human effigies anywhere? I don't like the idea of running out, being a walking corpse for the rest of my days.
Also where to reenforce rings?

Edited by Emperor Drak: 5/30/2015 2:14:27 AMHost a fight club on the iron keep bridge. Every time someone dies you get 1 free effigy + souls as well. Talk to all the milfanoas(idk spelling) then when you have no effigies in your inventory there is a spot after the song demon in Shrine of Ananna where you can turn human as long as effigies=0. If you beat all 3 of the DLCs and get the crowns and ashen mist heart, go to the Undead Crypt and behind where Velstat was you'll be able to enter a memory. Exhaust all the dialogue and once you do, if you put on one of the four kings crowns, you will always remain human when you die and can't be cursed until you enter the next NG. Also you cannot reinforce rings, but you can get +1 & +2 & +3 of some rings.

Alright, thanks. Although I'm not quite that far yet, I'm going for the sunlight spear. Also while we're on the topic of human effigies, what exactly does "Nullify human effigies effect" do? I think I can guess, but..
-
When you burn a human effigy at a bonfire, it makes it so you can't be invaded or summon others. Basically, you can't directly interact with players. For some reason, this version automatically activates that after a boss kill
-
Summon people at the iron keep bridge. When you beat them you get effigies. Or help someone beat a boss and you'll be turned human I believe
-
Oh, so I just go help with a boss instead.. Thanks, I want the lightning spear anyway.
-
Lol, I have 98.

Edited by Faliz18: 5/30/2015 12:27:04 AMNew game plus, few games have it these days. Basically, the game is reset and you're back at the beginning, but you get to keep your stats, gear, and items except for a few that impact story progression like keys and certain souls. The game becomes harder to compensate though.
-
I know what NG+ is, but you have a lot of human effigies so I was asking if that's were you got all of them.
-
I just started NG+. I very rarely used them because I mostly helped with bosses to get my humanity back. But yeah, you get a lot of effigies throughout the game.
-
There's a place in the Shrine of Amana, up the stairs from the Rise of the Dead bonfire that'll let you become human if you're hollow and have no human effigies. You have to speak to/free two of the Milfanito first though; the one just outside the Demon of Song, and the one locked away above the Mirror Knight.
-
You cant reinforce rings and no, human effigies are rare. Dont waste them. Certainly wear the ring of binding.
-
They're not rare, I have 98. You just shouldn't burn them every time you die and only use them if you need to summon for a boss or something
-
They are rare enough. They certainly don't drop like candy
-
Still, some merchants sell 5-10 of them and several chests have 3+
-
Yeah but I think he wants easy ones. Not having to find every merchant
-
Well, you could always kill the firekeepers...
Strongly recommend not doing that until the murder spree before NG+
-
I never kill NPCs
-
Edited by Faliz18: 5/30/2015 2:09:59 AMThey respawn in the next NG cycle so if you're about to reset then you can kill them and get their items and they'll be back
-
Not true, he can farm the Giant kings memory for effigies if he releases Navlaan(?) in Aldia's keep while hollow. Every time you use an ascetic he will show up next to the giant lord's bonfire. He's a pretty easy kill even at +7 and he always drops an effigy.
-
It's not the health that's the problem, it's me not wanting to be gross. So the reenforced rings in the game are just special to the ring, ok.
-
Don't forget that hollow is the natural state. Restoring your humanity makes you all moist and pink-ish.
-
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Edited by Faliz18: 5/30/2015 12:10:22 AMYou can get the Ring of the Dead, which makes you look human even while undead. That's later in the game though and wasted a ring slot Or get the crowns, but by then the game is literally complete besides pvp or something and there's nothing to do besides go to NG+ where you lose them
-
The only way to prevent hollowing is to acquire all of the crowns and do something with them. That is way late game stuff though. You just have to deal with it. Put a helmet on.
