Use different weapons. Odds are your using weapons that your not actually any good with. For instance, I can really use auto rifles, I've been MvP with a hard light (did a poll, most people believe the gun is poor). Secondly, Titans are not underpowered. You are death. A FoH will destroy anything, and your bubble with increased defense inside makes you an unplayable tank. Don't care about people trashing you for using easy weapons either, the main goal is to have fun, and unless your a masochist, dying doesn't count as fun in my book.
Edit: noticed I said the defender is an unplayable tank... Brain, what were you thinking... I meant invincible or something similar to that. Gonna keep the mistake though because I find it funny.

While I wholeheartedly agree that we're certainly all here to have fun and winning is fun, it gets annoying to me personally when I'm killed by Exotics all the time. It's one thing if you're playing in a really competitive environment like in Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris but for regular matches I think Exotics are breaking Crucible. It would make me and probably a lot of others really happy if Bungie would set a toggle for Crucible searches that enable and disable Exotics. I'd win a lot more matches based on skill rather than equipment, and that's not bragging either. Most of my deaths are either from shotguns or exotics. There's something to be said about that... And the fact that we need more range-oriented maps. Too much shotgun madness.

I agree with you mostly. Have you tried The Conduit, or the Red Hand IX? I believe both can be bought from Future War Cult and New Monarchy, respectively. Those two are Legendary weapons and are almost as deadly in PvP :)
