Love. But not just regular love. One sided love. Imagine waking up every single day knowing that you'll never get a chance with the one you love. Doing anything you possibly can to get them to just consider the thought and always falling up short. It's having tons of perfect dates planned and rehearsed in your head constantly, just waiting to become a reality. But those perfect dates will always be a dream and never become a reality. It hurts the most because you can't just drop those feelings and move on. They're the person you [i]know[/i] you're supposed to be with, yet you always miss your chance. They're the first person you think of when you wake up and the last person you think about when you go to sleep. Even a simple text message from them makes your day a thousand percent better. They're one of the most important person in your life and you love them more than anything. Giving up on that feeling just isn't in the cards. Being with them would make you the happiest person in the world, yet you know they don't feel anything close to the same way. You're seen as a good friend and nothing more. Imagine day after day everyone you know is telling you how perfect they are for you. They tell you how good you two would be together, and imagine how heartbreaking it is to know that you'll never see the day where it all works out. You just sit there, hoping that one day you'll be able to hear them say yes. All you want is one chance. You know that if you can just get [i]one[/i] damn chance, they won't ever regret it. But you never end up getting that chance. You never hear that "yes." All you have is years worth of "what ifs." You just keep asking yourself why. Why is it that everyone else can be with the person they're in love with but you can't? Because that's just how it works, and you're expected to just deal with it and move on.
