I'd refute you on the snowflakes part. How rather standard and characteristic to place life into a box and proclaim it has less meaning and value just because of a sum of numbers. Much like how people would view an ant colony. Their numbers so vast, that step on one? No. It won't make an impact. Surely not.

  • I think you understand my actual point, semantically, you'd be correct.

  • Even considering all of the numbers or variables, considering the scale of our respective galaxy and our local cluster's backyard alone, those are likely 8 billion dots out of reach to us for a very, very, long time. Considering the variables alone required for everything to function on this planet and in our solar system alone, as it does today? On a big mathematical scale, we'd technically almost be nothing. Almost zero. But then again, almost zero is rather important. Considering that light harbors so many laws for us to abide by in our universe, and functions so widely, so varied, and it does all of it while weighing almost mathematically zero? What we have here is more special than you could ever rightfully say, even considering the other numbers that go up against it.

  • Once again, you understand the point, it was a metaphor. But, semantically you are correct.
