Chapter 3
He opened his eyes, he didn't see anything and had a Ringing in his ears. It was almost as if this had all happened before. Slowly the world came into focus. The Ringing went away and he saw the inside of his pod. He was suddenly aware of a beeping noise and an A.I. Voice saying "warning, exit pod. This is an emergency." over and over.
He kicked open his door and looked down. The drop was at least 6 feet. I have to jump, he thought. He fell and hit the ground hard. He began to feel the pain. And there was plenty of it. He knew that he should have been seriously injured, though he felt, well he wasn't fine. Not by a long stretch, but he wasn't badly injured. The important part was he could walk.
He Picked himself up, winced from the pain, and began walking. He went out the and into the hall. He still couldn't shake the feeling that this had all happened before. Men in red and white uniforms with a striped create holding guns came running by. That scared him, but he had to keep going. He found a door labeled A1. He went through it, and there was 3 ships. They looked slightly battle worn. It was painted blue and on them was painted 3 letters: FWC. At that moment a red soldier came bursting through the door and held a rifle up.
"DON'T SHOOT DON'T SHOOT!" he yelled
Then suddenly one of the ship's doors opened and a soldier with a blue uniform came out and started shooting. He wore the same FWC sigil as his ship. The red soldier returned fire. Trexus jumped to the ground, but was hit by a bullet in the leg.
He lay there for a while, waiting for the shooting to stop. He thought he would bleed out. I eventually the red soldier Hit the ground. He would die without knowing anything about what had happened, with out any answers or information. He drifted into unconsciousness, expecting death.
He awoke to the sound of an engine, a jumpship engine taking off. He looked around and he realized he was inside a ship. He took a second to ponder the fact that he was not dead.
When they eventually set down and a group of doctors surrounded him. They wheeled him off to an office and told him to rest. The rest day was a blur, he lay there for a long, long time. Waiting for the pain to stop. It didn't. He eventually fell asleep.
When he awoke he later there to think. Thinking caused a confusion, Nothing that had happened made any sense. He hoped that these people had answers.
The next day a doctor came to check on him. He did a basic check up exactly like the one before. After the doctor finished he began to talk.
"I'm sure you're very confused right now but I can't help you. Tomorrow there will someone here to talk to you," he said. "For now you must rest."
He was very confused. All these random events in quick succession and he still had the feeling of deja vu, though it seemed to be going away. He needed answers, but he needed sleep even more. He lay again to rest, and began to dream.
