*A large contingent of troops along with Tanks and APCs prep to leave the camp myself among them. I leave a German captain Johann Neuer in command, he is a sound commander guided by morals. I broadcast to my men*
(Me) I don't need you to die, I need you to fight till the end and to do that I need you alive. We will crush these tribals who dare appose us and defend our allies. On this our new planet they will respect us or they will fear us. I'd prefer respect. Watch each other's six and don't let the bastards get close and you'll make it out alive.
*with that I move to the command tank and lead the column to the defense our ally tribe.

(Tribal) *As you leave one of the allied tribe members steps forward* "Hello Major, I am as your people have called me, "Rodger" my warriors and I would like to join you in battle if you will have us. It is our land to fight for after all.

*I walk over to the native tribal and look him in the eye* (Me) You want to fight for your land I respect that. You may fight with us but heed my command and do not get my men killed. We shall drive out these invaders together Rodger. *I return to my tank and the natives fall in line. We arrive at their village and find an ill prepared defense is under assault by the enemy tribals. They forgo ranged combat with each warrior trying to kill the other with a variety of meter weapons. I command the tanks and APCs to advance while the infantry try to protect the village.*

*The enemy tribals split into two groups, one that continues to assault and one that charges you and your men*

*the tanks and APCs open fire the main cannons fire like angry gods. The secondary machine guns as well as the rifles firing from with in (Russian APCs have ports to allow this I expect everyone would copy this in the future) cut down swathes of tribals. Having never seen tanks before they panic some chairing other retreating many being killed. The infantry loop around to the tribal village and flank the enemy form the left. Some tribals make it trough the gunfire killing men here and there but they are quickly killed. The majority of the enemy tribals who live decide to run but the Chiefs guard stand to their untimely demise. A few of the enemy fain surrender and catch men by surprise. They are driven off for now but are still a threat. A lieutenant and I survey the field as soldiers dig emplacements and wounded are collected.* (Me) How many? (LT) Thirty, eighteen wounded the rest injured. It would have been worse if they weren't so afraid of our tanks. Still they fight like caged animals. What are your orders sir? *I consider my options for a moment* (Me) Dig in for today, set up the psych-Warfare and have the men ready for the battle tomorrow. *The LT leaves and I am alone with my thoughts our native allies are in awe of our weapons but I don't want to make the mistakes of the twentieth and twenty first century and arm my next opponent. I have the wounded and dead returned to base to be buried and send the tanks and APCs out of the village hidden for the next battle the propaganda playing in the background* (Propaganda) your Chiefs are leading you to death, against our might you cannot hope to succeed surrender, return to your families alive when this is over. Do not orphan your children. The choice is yours. Surrender while you have a chance.

*Rodger walks up to you and grins.* "A decisive victory, what would you have my men and I do major? We do not wish to get caught in the cross fire or endanger your men and women. I've spread the word, your orders are equal to that of a chief."

* I look at my ally* (Me) get your people to our camp tell the guard I set you. *sometime later the trenches have been dug and the tribals evacuated. I stand at the top of mine. The propaganda has been turned off in favor of music. It's old the red army choir, and I grin. The propaganda sergeant always did like those guys. Looking down at a photograph I whisper a prayer for my men* (LT) Major the enemy is advancing. *I look up at him putting the picture in my pocket* (Me) just as planned tell the armored vehicles to wait till my signal, we don't want them to break cover early. *the enemy tribals advance slowly at first, until mortar rounds start landing among them, they charge fanatically only to be mowed down by heavy machine guns and rifle fire. The horde seems endless but when their rear troops charge as well I set aside my rifle and fire a flare straight up. Signaling my tanks and APCs to charge their sides and rear crushing them like a hammer against an anvil. Some break and run others stand and fight. Those that stay die and when the battle is over the stench of death and suffer overwhelms the senses. An enemy chief has been captured and I have him brought before me.* (me) did you ever think you could win? You don't even have rifles let alone anything to take on a tank. You had to have know we would protect our ally, were you trying to draw us out to raid our camp later. If so you'll find I've only taken a fraction of my men.

(Enemy chief) *looks up at you and laughs.* If this were your home world would you not fight off invaders such as yourself? Whether they are refugees or not? You would have been left alone but you decided to interfere with our customs and defend our rival tribe, therefore you became the enemy, one that shall be destroyed no matter the cost.

*i look at him* (Me)We warned you, you had every opportunity to go home. Invaders hmm... Irony at its finest. *i look to a soldier* (Me)Take him away

*the enemy chief cackles as he is dragged away. That's when an alert goes off on your com unit. The commander has sent an urgent transmission.* Major Pavel, I want to warn you about a possible threat on your life. Recently a bomb went off in my quarters within the Alamo. I do not know if the attempt on my life means there will be a attempt on yours but be warned. Have your men sweep your command center as soon as you return from battle. - Commander Rodriguez.

* I look at the men around me before answering they hurry to sweep my "command center" aka the same trench as some of them* (Me on comms) Thank you for the heads up I can have my men look into it if need be. The campaign against the tribals is going well should I take the enemy's village or just try to negotiate as is?

*i consider this for a moment.* Attempt to negotiate a peace treaty but if necessary then do what you must to force a surrender.

(Me) Understood *I gather the men for the final push the column makes its way along towards the enemy village. The tribals try to wage a guerrilla campaign but they simply can't mount a serious attack. We surround the village and I have the captured chief brought up to me* (Me) if you want your people to live you will convince them to surrender. They will be able to remain free. If you do not you will learn what it is to have the Russians invade your people. I for one have had enough of slaughtering your people but DO NOT THINK I WONT DO WHAT I MUST. Your choice.

At that moment one of the non warrior tribals picks up a spear and kills the chieftain with it. "We do not wish to have him speak for us any longer."

*the soldiers around me raise their weapons at the tribals but I put up my hand to signal them not to fire* (Me) then who will talk peace with me, make it quick I am trying to be patient but there are other matters for me to attend to.

* a village elder approaches you.* I will, my people and did not want this war an protested but the chieftain drugged our youth and forced them to fight you.

*I narrow my eyes but then motion the elder to have a seat at a table and when he does I lay out my offer* (Me) well then if what you say is true I think it will be easy to draw up the treaty. Your people are to surrender. Your warriors will help rebuild the village you helped destroy and you will swear to whatever God or Goddess you believe in that you will not attack us or our allies. If you do there will not be a surrender next time. Provided you keep the agreement we will help protect you. Am I understood.

(Me) granted * I rise from my chair and shake is hand. I make the arrangements and then leave a token force here to enforce the treaty while I head back to base I open a channel to the commander a photograph in my hand* (Me) Commander it is done. I have subdued the natives with a treaty that is not too harsh in my opinion. Sir has there been any word from earth, have we heard from the Russian forces yet? *even over the comms you can hear the desperate hope in my voice*

*i answer, honesty and disappointment fill my voice.* that's a negative. The infiltration team, the found Terra one and the leader of the team made it his priority to attempt to rescue the President of the federation. There has been no reply since. As of right now I am putting together a team to get to the Russian army though. We will rescue those men and women. You have my word, if I have to do it myself then that's what I'll do.
