  • I'm not sure there are any definitive right answers that will please everyone, but there sure as hell has to be a middle ground, right? I appreciate you taking the time to just see where we're coming from, let alone offering support. Thank you.

  • I didn't think about it as censoring any potentially good friends. It is hard and nerve wracking for someone with social issues to branch out for LFG even though I did because I love this game and want a fun and relaxed environment to play in. Most LFG groups are either shouters or kickers(as I don't have a gally I get kicked a lot) so not the best for my nerves. Optional MM could yield something less hostile. And it's optional, don't want it just turn it off ha! Thanks for taking the time to write what is effectively a small novel about what you believe man

That's another thing with not only optional matchmaking, but the lobby system I mentioned for raids and crucible (not sure which thread we're in atm). With optional matchmaking you can ease your way into the group. You don't have to go in "hey what's up everyone, I'm yadda yadda". It affords you the opportunity to listen and get a feel for the group and deciding how and where to fit in if you want. Like I've said before, in Gears there would be people who wouldn't say a word, but after the 4th, 5th, 6th game together, they'd be talking up a storm.
