There are skilled casuals, yes. But that wasn't what I said. The main problem is the time investment. And even the ToO are somehow time consuming IF you lack in personal skill to compete with your opponents. And most of the time a casual don't want to invest that time. There are always exception, but these exceptions have no meaning when you look at the whole picture. If developers would take any possible type of gamer (and every sub-type following the criteria) in consideration then no game in the world could find a balance between those groups.
And Destiny is doing that just fine. It doesn't lock away players from content. Players are locking themselfes out from it. When I read "we have lifes etc" (as an example) then ok, that's fine. But if you don't have time etc then what's the point of eveb starting a time consuming (and difficult) activity? Everything end-game related in Destiny falls under that formula.
Hardcore players get rewarded for dedication.The broad mass of casuals not. That's a natural thing in the gaming world and will never change. Both groups can enjoy the game. If you want more, a game wants more from you in exchange.
