It isn't false, it doesn't hit primers, true, but it activates linkages. Have you seen the hammer on destiny guns have a firing pin and actually hit a primer? Well, jackass, have you? Nope. Because the game doesn't give you that much detail. Again, linkages, just like the rhino

Yes. The animations imply that the hammer is striking whatever they use as a primer to fire the weapon. The action of the Rhino and the hand cannons in Destiny are not the same. Period. Pay attention, genius.
