I don't need to understand sci-fi and I don't want these things to be explained better. Know why? Because there's no fun in that, but above all because Destiny is [b]a game.[/b] Who cares if some of the guns wouldn't work properly in the real world? [b]Destiny does not take place in the real world.[/b] For all we know, maybe the guns have a tiny teleportation system within that moves the bullet through the places where it would otherwise be stopped. In a universe where all the things I mentioned happened/happen on a daily basis, I wouldn't be at all surprised if that were the case.
It's not game-breaking, and it only breaks immersion for those care enough to look into these tiny tiny kinds of things (which is probably only like 1% of the player population.)
