Ok, so my bad, I told you the wrong thing. The ledge you need to drop down to is actually further back nearer to the first bonfire. Just light a torch and follow the ledge to the left outside the bonfire and you'll see it.
And fyi, that was not even close to the last giant. Those guys are -blam!-ers. Fighting both at the same time is suicide. You have to lure one out and kill them one at a time. But don't even bother with it now, you won't have to bother with it until you get to Vendrick, but that's a different topic altogether.

I hate unblockable things, those giants annoy me, I got them but it was close. I found Lucatiel afterwards, she was useless in the fight and so was Lone Hunter Schmidt. I got the boss down though. Also the giants have bad eyesight, you can walk all the way around the room without alerting them, its probably due to the fact that their face is just an empty hole. So where to next? I've taken out Freja and The Rotten.

The Old Iron King. To get to him, you have to talk to the cleric in Heide's Tower of Flame until she moves to Majula. She moves to the tunnel that originally took you to Heide's. She can open up a new path if you pay her. That's the way you need to go.
