No they did not, just because some weapons do one way does not mean all weapons have to do the same way ever. Only an total idiot about video games would ever assume that or complain when it does not happen. They do not ever have to follow the same mannerisms for all weapons ever, they are allowed to change it how ever they want when ever they want for any reason at all.
