Quick question/theory for you good sir. Is it possible that the alien races (besides their other obvious motives) are occupying our system because there is no where else to go? Such as the Cabal? I mean where is this empire? Have they turned from it for diplomatic reasons or because they are scared that it is already doomed to the darkness? So instead of destroying Mars and the rest of the system, they've chosen it as their new home and last stand?
