But just strictly voc or vex which one?

I'd say VoC for this nightfall. VoC has better range and I think impact and also carries more ammo. They are both solar, but VoC can shoot from much further away, which means being a lot safer from those damn arc dregs/captains and solar skanks. You can also use VoC to take out those damn vandals that would snipe you across the map.
