So Iron Banner is back again, but did Bungie really need to bring it back again given the absolute lack of content! Every month Iron Banner is here for one week and for me I would jump right in there and level up at least one of my characters so I could get the armour whether it be leg, arm, chest or head. The reason I did that was so I could get my character up to (pre HoW) light level 32, and that is was why I was looking forward to jumping into Iron Banner today, however when I did log on and choose the character I wanted to take into the countless Control battles that I would need to do to level up to rep 3 I was somewhat disappointed to see that the gear in Iron banner is basically the same as in previous releases. For my Titan the Iron Breed Gauntlets and Iron Breed Greaves have the same Light level, the same Intellect and Discipline levels as the ones that I am currently wearing, the only difference is with the state roles on the gauntlets. As for the weapons well they have always been re-rollable so nothing new there and the class items well same old same old there with the exception of the Titan Mark which is not that much better than the old one. As I stated earlier I did Iron Banner previously to get my light level up, but now I see no point in doing Iron Banner given the gear is no better than vendor gear and correct me if I am wrong but from what I have read you can only by one Etheric Light at rep 3 and 5 per character, and if that is the case I would like to know have much Etheric Light you can potential get with one character by doing Pve in a week. Seriously Bungie why would you treat your Iron Banner players like this, why would you insult them by giving them the same gear as you did in the last release (cosmetic changes accepted), why would you not have the imagination to perhaps change the Emblems, the shaders or add the option to buy other stuff like ships (I know these item like ships can drop, rngesus). My point here is that you have again missed the mark somewhat with this release of Iron Banner and it is an absolute shame that you have and that you did not have the foresight to make this a 7 day once per month event something a little bit more special for your PvP players who do grind their way through this event. The armour should have been at a higher level at the very least and the bounties well again no thought whatsoever there. Seriously come on do us a favour for the next release use your imagination and make this event something special, make the armour better, make the weapons better, add other stuff, something to encourage us in the community to actually get in there and play this. This is literally only on for 7 days once per month, it is not Prison of Elders, it is not Trials of Osiris, its not a raid or anything else so make it different make it special, make it better, make it something more that what it is today.
