The grind is about to be very real for alot of us just to be able to upgrade our weapons..
Re-rolling is fun and addictive and a great addition to Destiny, but with it comes the realization we need some type of exchange of materials that will allow us to obtain more weapon parts.
Farming Ether Chests was a great way to replenish blue engrams for weapon parts, but now that the Ether Chest farming is over, it will be even harder to make up the difference. Strikes give alot, but if we could simply buy them for glimmer/motes/strange coins or exchange Hadrionic essence/Plasteel Plating or Hunter Wire for weapon parts, that would be an ideal way to deal with this new famine.

ALSO:[/b] If you happen to have a lot of Weapon parts, dont bother listing that you have a bunch or listing how many thousands you have. Dont be [i]that guy.[/i] This thread is for people who identify with the current system draining weapon parts faster than ever before.
We all know no one is forcing us to reroll our weapons. But you know what? It actually makes Destiny partly fun again, so of course people want to do it to get perfect/ideal rolls. So if you dont have anything constructive to the conversation, dont bother posting.

1 ReplyYes, the grind is real. The best way to get weapon parts is definitely strike playlists, with the drops throughout the mission, and engram rewards at the end of each. But I hate this. The point of leveling up all of this stuff is to enjoy the end game content. But raids and PoE don't give any sort of engram/glimmer drops (aside from convincing 5 others to farm gatekeeper, I know, I know). I can only assume they kept this out to prevent farming? But that just forces farming in other story areas, so what's the difference? Ugh, IDK. I just need weapon parts.

I had about 700 over my toons now I have 19

I had 2400 and split it 3 ways (800 each) Now my Hunter went from 800 to 0 and my titan 800 to 400. This drains hard. I want to conserve my other half of parts but who knows.

4 RepliesPro tip made by me:Out of weapon parts get 7 wins in trials and buy as many of the sold weapon you can and dismantle it Its save me a lot of pain you can usually get 100 with 10k glimmer

I was clearing out my 2 warlock to make a Titan and I found 160 weapon parts!!!! OH YEAH!
