Not really, you can go a whole clip and only just barely take down any yellow bar enemies shields, once you reload...blam!? Unless you're good at jumping, reload then shoot again...aka, PoE lol.
The Vex's long range ability is for nothing since its Nerf...thank you all of those winging little beeches from PVP - Instructions: GFD somewhere remote. (Not literally of course).

I'm talking about it while solar burn and small arm bonuses are active.

Vex is not affected by small arms it is considered a secondary. Leave it for when specialist is active.

Edited by bLooM_pHaZe: 6/3/2015 2:52:16 AMTrue it is a little better than many other options but not the best, the Archon Priest is better with Scout Rifles and or snipers due to the distance of fighting. when I used my Vex last night, it was only good in those few and far between moments of close quarters battle, even then my FBringer was a better option or the Fang. If it's ONLY solar exclusively then yes, that would be nice but then you can't use Gjhorn or the IBreaker, merely other weapons which have much lower DPS.
