At the end of the day, it's better to be lvl 34 with a crappy setup than lvl 33 with a perfect one, when you're facing lvl 34 or 35 challenges that will give you the etheric light and extra cores you need to upgrade gear for a more balanced setup and take judgement chances for armour with random stats - worked out well for me doing exactly that and had x2 toons at 34 first week and last one hit 34 first reset day the next week. Raid gear and exotics are also great to balance the current ridiculous strength rolls as they often roll all intellect or discipline.
