Hi, everyone.
I wanted to get a poll going to see what opinions the Destiny community has and how, in my opinion, there should be more opportunities for solo players to be able to get some of the best gear in the game.
As it stands, most, if not all activities in Destiny require us to form up a fireteam and participate in activities for our chance at some sweet loot. This isn't a poll about matchmaking, rather, a poll to see if there should be more opportunities for solo players who would rather take on challeneges individually, because of time constraints, commitments outside of the game, etc. Note, that I'm referring to players who have reached some of the higher levels in the game, as the daily and weekly activities are invaluable to the earlier levels.
The Prison of Elders, Raids, and Trials of Osiris all offer chances at getting the best gear in the game. PoE and ToO, in particular, guarantee these rewards if you do well enough. The problem is that they all require players to pre-form teams and participate, and with all this talk of more matchmaking options, I haven't seen anyone mention the lone wolf players.
The Iron Banner gurantees some good stuff provided you rank up enough in the week the event is active. This can be accomplished solo, but the grind is torturous for those of us who are not that great at PvP. Why can't there be a timed PvE event that offers similar rewards to solo players?
Between work and other commitments, I typically only have around 3 hours of playtime each day. I just want to hop into an activity on my own, spend a few hours, and actually have something to show for it. Sure, there are daily and weekly activities, but the rewards are dubious at best.
I'm just curious to see what opinions are out there. Vote up top and let everyone know what you think.
