This couldn't be more wrong, no laws have ever been signed condemning shotgun use in war. Germany complained in ww1 trying to get them banned but it was unsuccessful. Shotgun use in war is completely legal

It falls under "overkill," which is indeed a violation of the Law of War. The Law of War was created after the Geneva Convention, and governs what is considered to be unlawful during wartime, such as attacking unarmed civilians. Such acts are considered War Crimes.

They are illegal to use due to causing unnecessary suffering. "Weapons that may cause unnecessary suffering or indiscriminate effects" Chapter 1, Section 32.

Dude no they aren't lol, I just got out of the military we used them on watch every night and they're still used in combat....
