The common misconception is that E.T. is a bad game. It's really not if you know how long the ONE developer had to make it. He had 5 weeks to make the entire game so that Atari could launch it by Christmas. It's a big concept, and the game is rather well done, for the time he did it in. No, it's not fun. But people shouldn't jump on the bandwagon and think it's an awful game for no good reason
