Now with Iron Banner back in action, I've found myself facing teams of 6. Of course most people get a fireteam together. Easier to win and do some bounties that way.
But here's a suggestion I took from another game that had a similar feature. Don't recall which game though.
If you enter the crucible with a team of 6. Maybe even 4 or more. There should be some sort of matching algorithm that matches you up against other fireteams at a priority. Now, I know some people join teams to pub stomp through games, I've done it before. But when it comes to games like Destiny's Iron Banner, playing with a full team of solos against a 6 man team, repeatedly, isn't exactly what you call a fun time. I've beaten a few fireteams of 4+ but not often. Randoms tend to leave the game which leaves you at an even bigger disadvantage.
If a solo player enters Iron Banner, their game lobby searches should prioritize any other solo players or teams of 2-3. That way it's more balanced out and you aren't always joining losing games against a team of 6. As I said before, there will still be the chances that you join one of those 6 team games, but not very often.
This also makes Iron Banner a bit more 'competitive' as teams of 4-6 will be facing off against other teams of 4-6.
Anyways, just my two cents on this after joining about 3 in process games in a row that were losing to fireteams of 6.
