A developer such as Bungie has the means and manpower, why not add optional matchmaking?
No disrespect intended. Trying to make Bungie realize not everyone has the time or social skills required to find people to play with.

I truly believe that they did not add the capability into the original software, and it cannot be changed at a reasonable price at this point, so everytime the subject comes up they plug their ears and sing loudly, hoping the subject will be forgotten by everyone else.

Could be. It may never happen, but hopefully they will take consideration of these arguments for their next installment of Destiny.
