Skolas
I don't know if what the deal is but come on skolas is way to hard to beat. Need to fix this this is a 3 man raid. Give us a break. It is annoying and frustrating. I don't want to spend 4 hrs plus trying to beat it

Beat him first try two times this week. [spoiler]third time took a couple wipes[/spoiler] but you just have to have a good team. Edifreit spear is the best void sniper you can use on skolas. If you were talking about arc burn taking four hours I could feel for you because it took me two days last week to beat him once lol.

2 RepliesTeammates and equipment are key for a quick win. Tried hard with randoms on Wednesday and failed completely. Tried again last night with different randoms? Beat it with ease. First group was laggy and using Praedyths and Truth (and couldn't cope with the other mechanics, which was the real issue) It was not fun. Next group were all using high impact snipers and machine guns and we beat him with ease. 2 of us got elder ciphers, too!

One of those was a wipe on the second round and the other was a glitch fall that killed me on the way down to the chest. I remember the first time I beat it I thought it was hard. I didn't even bother on the Arc burn week but this week is a cinch if you have a decent impact Void sniper and a Truth.

He's really not that bad...me, my friend, and some random beat him the legit way, only wiped 3x. In the end all 3 of us got an Elder Cipher.

7 RepliesI have never attempted skolas up until 2 hours ago. Beat him in about 1 hour. Difficult, but Ive had more difficulty with atheon.

3 RepliesHe's difficult but by no means impossible. It can't be stressed enough that you need [i]three capable shooters[/i] to take him down. If there is a weak link in your fireteam, you're in for a frustrating time. 365 damage weapons of the appropriate burn. You've got to keep him staggered, so sniper rifles or machine gun crits are, well, critical. My team used three 365 Corrective Measures. We had much better luck with them than void snipers. Melted him to half health with weapons of light and then started running laps around the arena while dismantling mines. Don't get greedy. If Skolas is up in your grill and he's "almost dead!", stop shooting and run another lap or two. Hope that helps.

1 ReplyI beat him once on solar burn. Got crap rewards. Last week spent a few hours trying to kill him but couldn't. Already beat him twice this week. Void burn is actually the least difficult one. I can offer help perhaps if you are on ps3. You will need a good void sniper and void heavy machine gun.

Did it earlier tonight, it is difficult,, but with a good team that uses strategy and plays it safe, you won't have that much of a problem with it
