Well, it was a Tyranid invasion, if you aren't familiar with them, they are literally worse than the Flood.

-
Ah, i must been skim reading again, id have remembered that. Well, there was some miscommunication, i was going to cleanse the planet, and make it livable to humans again, but then somebody dropped some extra ordinance, and things went to hell and back for Earth.
-
What earth I see no earth
-
Exactly, thats what i meant. I'll see if i can talk my Chapter-Master into terraforming Mars or Venus, so that everybody will have somewhere to stay.
-
I'd say venus because it's a greenhouse effect gone wrong and we would have to cool it off so the gases can escape
-
We could just drop a Cyclonic Torpedo, burn away the atmosphere, and build a new one. Seems like the easy way to go about it.
-
No we would need something to thin put it's atmosphere so the heat can escape building a new atmosphere would take to long
-
Also now that earth is gone shouldn't the planets be going into chaos due to the sudden change in gravity due to the gap to where our home once was
-
We can set up a gravity tether system easy, and its not hard to rebuild the atmosphere, we just need to burn it away, its easier than trying to skim, and it eliminates all previous environmental hazards.
-
Well venus might shift into earths place if may change it's atmosphere over time, but tht takes too long, how long could the hazards be erased
-
A Cyclonic Torpedo can strip the atmosphere clean in under a day, and my Techmarines can have a clean atmosphere up in under three.
-
Sounds promising, wonder what life Venus has to offer
-
Whatever you decide to put there, the Cyclonic Torpedo alone would kill anything that could live on its surface, thats not counting the atmosphere disappearing.
Im getting off for now, need sleep. Mandalore can probably fill you in better than i can.
-
Venus has spent a long time trying to cool itself off wounder what it's own life could have held
never doubt the nids, or chaos, or the orks, or you know what pretty much every species except human.
Exactly, we pushed the Tau out of this sector completely, so we dont have to worry about them. As for the others, they could be around anywhere.
