So I, like many others, am not good at PvP. I know this, I understand this so I tend to keep myself out of PvP. Why do I do this? Is it because I don't like getting my rear handed to me every game? Possibly, but more it is because I do not like frustrating or burdening my fellow teammates with my poor skills and negative impact on the game. Usually if I go into PvP, I try to stay in Rumble so that the only thing affected is my own K/D. That being said, Etheric Light is vastly easier to obtain in the PvP environment versus the PvE environment. So that got me to thinking how something could be added to reward those of us strict PvE players that truly do not have a ton of friends to do things like higher level PoE runs. I was thinking of a system similar to the Trials of Osiris card except it would be in relation to the story missions. You buy your card from say the bounty tracker and it has 6 completions, 3 deaths on it. You then go into the story missions at the highest difficulty level (make them all 32) and if you complete the mission without dying, you get a completion. Any time you don't complete or die (or return to orbit say to avoid a death), you get marked down as a death. 6 completions gets you an Etheric Light, 3 deaths and you are out but you still can get mats/MoL for turning your card in. You can also run this as a team but you would be limited to 2 cards per character per week. So the maximum you could get would then be 6 Etheric Light per week (you can get considerably more in the drops in Trials of Osiris). This gives us solo (and moderately team) PvE players something we could possibly work towards to get Etheric Light. Completing the mission solo at 32 honestly without dying would be enough of a challenge (especially some of the latter missions) to make this doable. What does everyone think? *EDIT* that was supposed to be PVPMASTERRACE but at some point, PvEMasterRace must have been added into my dictionary spell check, which is equally hilarious and sad at the same time :)
