The reason several songs on the [i]Destiny[/i] soundtrack are titled 'Excerpt from the ______' is because they were original compositions by Marty O'Donnell. If Bungie / Activision had wanted to include the full versions, they would have had to have paid Marty royalties.
And after firing him. And losing a law suit, that was not going to happen.
