I actually ran level 26 on normal mode VoG and 28 on hard mode VoG. I refused to invest in gear that would be "thrown away" as soon as I got raid quality... now that dilemma is gone (not sure how I feel about that). But I wanted the Vision of Confluence so badly. I had all the rest of the raid stuff after the 3rd week of HM being out. Including Vex and Fatebringer. Just no VoC. Wasn't till 2 weeks before HoW came out that I finally got my gun. =) good times though I love running raids abd meeting other guardians!

I ran the VoG hard every single week trying to get gear for my Hunter. Week 4 or so, i stowed all the stuff i had for my Titan and warlock, deleted them, and started 2 more hunters trying to get [i]any[/i] gear. Long story short, i ran it on all 3 hunters every week as a 29 and never got a single piece of gear until 2 weeks before TDB. Then i got all 4 pieces on back to back runs. I hit 30 like 10 days before TDB dropped. Then i hit 31,that day. The grind is real...

Beat Vog on hard with 5 level 29's, and a level 30 that was full of himself. He died at the beginning like the scrub he was. Then 5 level 29's without communicating whatsoever(we sat in complete silence in the Xbox party as the level 30 told us to wipe because it was impossible without a level 30) and proceeded to steam-roll Atheon on our first run of VoG hard.

1 ReplyYep. Xur didn't sell a Titan helmet for like 8 weeks leading up to TDB, finally sells inmost light like the weekend leading up to the release... Spend the weekend leveling it up to 30, then guess what... Playing VOG hard the night before TDB drops and the raid helmet drops for me. Huge slap in the face

i did it at 29 with my titan back when..... took me almost until dlc 1 dropped to finally get that helmet. got the vex, and fatebringer before the freaking helmet -.-

Did it as a 28 first time, took until TDB before I got the helmet. Ran with knucklehead radar until then to be 30.

Signed and it's funny that people are struggling when there 1-4 levels higher than the hard vog. Only the day one players will understand the real struggle of the vog.
