Earlier today, I was playing Iron Banner, minding my own business, getting shot by Thorn after Thorn, my team wins a round and THE GUY IN LAST -BLAM-MING PLACE ON THE TEAM THAT LOST BAGGED HIMSELF A HAWKMOON while the best my team could get was a BAD, RARE AUTO RIFLE! My first reaction was "Wait, someone got Hawkmoon?!" Then it turned into outright DISGUST because some dude in last place (on the enemy team that lost) got a Hawkmoon.
So I ask you this Bungie:
Rework RNG so that it favors skilled players on winning teams
OR
Force us to keep at this abject MISERY where noobs who did *nice word* all gets a Gally and a Thunderlord in a single drop.
The odds I want are here:
Winning team:
1st MVP: Guaranteed Legendary
2nd-3rd MVP: High Legendary chance
4th-6th: guaranteed AT LEAST 1 rare and a low chance at Legendary
Losing team:
1st: guaranteed rare with a very low Legendary chance
2nd-4th: a chance for a rare
5th-6th: small chance at ANYTHING up to Rare quality
Edit: exotics shouldn't drop from Crucible anymore, kudos to Slickrick786 for suggesting

Totally agree. Have a random jump my nightfall via another friend 5 minutes from the end, he got 15 kills and died twice and got hawkmoon drop and i got 12 F×××××G stranges coin. I never played a game that screws you over so much for you dedication. Needs to change.

Pls, I'm level 25 still no legendary.....Rng out right hates me.
-
Shameless self-bump :)
-
Rework crucible so it doesn't drop exotics anymore. Solves that problem
-
RNG is perfect.
-
If we do what you want, then you'll start whining about how the rich are getting richer and leaving others in the dust, and how people will cheat crucible to get exotics. It's fine as it is, I've seen a guy in last get ice breaker and I just laughed and said "that lucky mother-blam!-er. Get off your soapbox and just play the game. You'll get yours just like he got his.
-
I hate How bad the RNG is, but I have no interest in only the best Crucible players getting gear. If only the Hawkmoon experts get Hawkmoon, how is anyone else ever going to compete?
-
Omg someone got something and you didn't Im sure that hasn't happened in your favor even one time in this game. The 50% that voted to change it are all entitled under 18 year old children who think that no one else deserves something as much as they do
-
Good chance at an exotic everytime you win and come in first? Yea right, RNG is fine. If you're really gonna get upset over stupid guns in a game, then you have problems. Get a life dude. Let the haters come and hate me, but it's true.
-
So every time you get mvp its like killing the deathsinger? Your -blam!-ing dumb
-
I'm fine with it, I have a problem with poor weapons flooding the market right now. (Looking at you and your queen Variks)
-
The most satisfying loot system in a multiplayer shooter style game I've ever had was Mass Effect 3s. Getting an awesome weapon multiple times gave it a slight bump in stats until the tenth time if I remember correctly. And the random lotto of buying expensive chest after farming points on the hardest difficulties was actually fun.

I thought Bungie said they had addressed this and that playing better would get you better rewards. I haven't seen that, but that's what they said.
-
RNG is the worst part of "Destiny".
-
Stop complaining. Thx
-
Self-Bump :)
-
Bump I like those changes
-
Or maybe change your perception of things. It's basically like the traffic lights are always red when you are in a hurry. A pseudo random generator is kinda like drawing lots for an equal distribution. They could use a better random generator though, maybe one from cryptographic which is not that predictable in results ;)

I just had a great match in IB and had the highest score. I received a Monte Carlo in a drop, and while I already have one, I was very pleased because I felt that I earned it. I think tiered rewards could act in a better fashion than the RNG as we've all seen RNGesus spite our efforts and reward a Gjallarhorn to the toolbox in last place. Keep the RNG and have it act to SUPPLEMENT a tiered rewards. If you kill a million Dregs, you should get something for your effort. If you capture 100 Control points the same. The possibilities are only hampered by the reliance of random carrot on a stick design that Destiny seems to want to stick with.

I guess I was doing it wrong, because I was playing IB for the etheric light this weekend. Scored NLB and Universial Remote, which were promptly sharded. If you've been playing for any amount of time you should have just about every exotic anyway.

I agree, RNG is fine so long as the odds arn't even across the board.
