I was talking past tense in the SoF making a jump BEFORE the planet's demise. I was unaware the slip drive was sacrificed to make the planet explode. Don't be an asshat and read every single word so literally. Its still entirely plausible the Spirit is the cause of the disturbances. Thats why you can't argue anything else other than the fact I made a mistake over a game I never played to learn 100% of every plot detail because it was subpar anyways.
The crew is gone, the SoF is under Flood control, and theres "deep space anomalies" occuring. Seeing as nobody knows where Shield 0459 even is, its most likely the Flood.
To add further,
In March 2558 the freighter, Pilgrims Pride, was carrying several AC-220 Vultures and AV-22 Sparrowhawks that were previously attached to the Spirit of Fire. The Pilgrims Pride launched a surprise attack on the UNSC Infinity and attempted to self-destruct inside the Infinity's bay. The Spartans managed to eject the freighter out of the bay. They also saved the Pilgrims Pride from total destruction by removing its exploding core. After recovering the remains of the attacking Vultures and Sparrowhawks, the crew used the ID numbers on the hulls to identify the ships as belonging to the Spirit of Fire. Confusing matters, the crew discovered that Pilgrims Pride had been constructed only five years earlier.
Judging from this, its entirely possible the Insurrection has control over the SoF, although I doubt its possible for some Rebels to wipe put the Flood if Spartans have issues with it. So lets not play the finger pointing game because I missed one little piece of information.
