I never brought a personal matter into this. Weren't you the first to bring up anything about being a parent? Anyways, I have a thing for defending my position in an argument, no matter how seemingly pointless it is. I understand what you're trying to get at. I apologize, if I had insulted you personally. I get a little irritated if I think the opposition doesn't have an open mind.

I have an open mind. But being a fantasy game, Destiny doesn't use older weapons that we see in real life. What's the point in having them? Destiny is supposed to be an escape from those archetypes. Earlier you brought up the fact that guns have nothing to do with the story. But I see it this way.. Call of Duty and Battlefield have almost written the stories off completely. They focus on their multiplayer mode, and the real life weapons within. It has nothing to do with story.
Destiny is supposed to be an escape from those archetypes
And look how miserably they failed at that. With the current patch effects, what are essentially revolvers are a better option at all ranges in both PVE and PVP... So much for that futuristic crap.

Yes that's one thing they got wrong. I find it silly that a massive revolver hits harder and is more versatile than a rifle.
