It's an extreme measure, sure, but if vaccination rates continue to fall it might become necessary to keep the rest of us safe. Once they've been vaccinated they can then re-enter society.

If the parents choose not to vaccinate their child, and said child dies from some virus with a known vaccine. Charge them for murder 1, no way you'll get a conviction but it will scare the hell out of them and society. You can then easily cut a deal for involuntary manslaughter, for a lesser punishment. If they want to fight it, charge them with the same crime with full sentencing. You can easily convict them of involuntary manslaughter. The parents actions were not to intend to kill their child, but the child died a preventable death anyway. From a virus that we know is fatal, that had a known vaccine. No quarantine needed just let them die, and charge the negligent parents. With enough convictions the vaccination rate will rise.
As previously stated this is HYPOTHETICAL situation. So I won't be responding to this. However there is always someone out there who will argue about this, and there is always someone out there that will take the bait. When this happens, I still won't respond. I'll be too busy eating popcorn.
Oh and uhh zombies... so yeah... not taking this post srsly guise.
