As badass as this sounds, it also seems very overpowered. Maybe you can give it a long lasting burn damage? The burn is very low in damage but it last a while. This would be good cause it stops recovery. I like the idea of the weirder dying and the burn stops. The explosion sounds great but I feel that it's overdone. Maybe make it only happen when someone is killed by burn? I like the idea behind the weapon. I do feel that the name is kind of simple. Maybe something like incinerator or Cinder Maker.
