Developed, yeah. Switzerland and Canada aren't as bad as they could be though.

Both are strict compared to U.S. standards, but lenient compared to European. Handgun ownership in Canada is common enough, and semi-auto rifles can be had with magazine restrictions. They can even own ARs of a sort. Switzerland is more lenient, but their service rifle has to be converted to semi-auto only if they intend to keep it.

Still Switzerland is a country that requires military service. There's a reason that Hitler probably said -blam!- it and left them alone

A combination of the Alps and a heavily-armed citizenry. They're still too strict for me, but I'm glad they've avoided the brainwashing the rest of Europe succumbed to.
