"Tsk. Very well then. I would like to hear your position on this first; hopefully, we can reach a mutual agreement."

*I think for a second* My position is this, I want the safety and freedom of my people. They in turn expect us to reclaim earth. We will not be vassals to a machine race just as I would not have them be vassals to us. Almost all of my people would rather die than bow to an outsider who has not earned their respect. I don't trust you, I don't like what I've seen so far. That being said I would rather have peace. I can produce two things today, on one hand you can choose peace and on the other war.

Edited by Wretched Cain: 6/11/2015 2:56:05 AMHe gazes at you, and you have the feeling that there's more than one entity behind that stare. "Although I did indeed come looking for an imperialistic agreement, we're not asking for anyone to bow to us... At least, not today." "Not like you'd have a choice, either way. Do you understand what's beneath our feet at this very moment?"
I think everyone apart from Bush and Blackjack are a tad confused as to why I'm here, so let me get you up to speed. Offtopic RPs usually function on a Marvel/DC Universe logic... That is, everything takes place on the same timeline, or, moreover, the same universe. Recently, there was a war between two factions: The Coalition, which consisted of the RP threads Edgewater, The Empire, The Moon Colony, and the Lenny Sovereignty... And the Sol Alliance, which consisted of the RP threads Dreadgaon and Perth Varcoe, and the more nomadic Ignus and Void Council— nomadic as to say, we didn't really have a home. The Alliance eventually won— Edgewater fled, the Sovereignty separated from the Coalition, the Moon Colony crumbled, and The Empire gave up and disbanded. The Empire's original home was Earth— the objective of your desires. To ensure no further Empire activity, we took control of the planet... Honestly, thinking back on things, it would have been more optimal to destroy it, but the Ignus are suckers for history, so I kinda had to keep it around. And... Well, that brings us here. You're caught up.
-
The Empire was disbanded by inactivity, as was the Sovereignty. There will be new threads for both topics
-
I still won, when you look at the data.

Not by the big battle I was hoping for, but still.
-
Data? You killed a few NPCs, and one of our main characters, who still technically survived.
*I give a look like I'm not impressed* Did you know my country has never lost a war started in winter, we have a name for it. General winter, I think you know what season it is. We always have a choice, better we die for our way of life. As to what is under our feet, I do not know as you know. Do not insult my intelligence with rhetorical questions.
ah but we are in a multiverse setting as far as I know. We were driven out from earth by invaders but we were not an empire. You occupation is a new thing to us, it happened after we purges tyranids from earth and it got sucked into a wormhole. So just fair warning before you think you're going to absolutely dominate us with your ultra advanced robots
-
"Do I look like I care what season it is? I'm quite familiar with seasonal wartime tactics... Hitler, Napoleon, etc., etc.. However, seeing as we do not require food or an adequate temperature to operate, you are the only one at a disadvantage." "As for the device... We call it a Mind. They usually replace the planet's core once we complete our conquest, and they can alter reality with a single calculation making them useful in various ways... Within range, of course. Needless to say, you're within firing capacity." "General, although I will if I have to, I did not come to 'compare dick size,' as you say. I came to negotiate a truce that will benefit both sides. We want you to benefit, but considering the investment, we can't exactly just pack up and leave. It takes significantly longer to dismantle operations than to create them, and by the time we did, humanity could very likely be extinct."
-
* I grin a bit* Well we wouldn't want reality changed now would we. Only fools play with time. Tell me how do your people fair against EMPs, I am quite interested? How long does it take to build a 'mind' as you call it.
more than six months you haven't built it yet, less than that's just OP
-
*over coms in your earpiece thingy* You calling me a fool? Dont reply well talk when your back.
They've been around for several quintillion eons; they've had pretty satisfactory time to evolve. Although the mere idea of Organic cooperation only came about quite recently, so making way for Sentient-Organic activity isn't really their specialty. They're basically a runaway train trying to install brakes while the train's still running.
"I just said I was not here to compare strength. You're a fool if you believe you can just scare us away." "If you must know, EMPs are ineffective. Neither are viruses, hacking, or other forms of standard cyber warfare." "Now may you please be sensible?"
-
Edited by General Percival: 6/11/2015 3:44:18 AM*i give a half cocky grin* Old habits die hard as they say, always gauge an opponents strength. So what is your offer?
the reason I ask is that we were just on earth a few months ago and only recently fled
-
"I say we halt negotiations for now. You need either rest or coffee. We have a room available, or would you prefer an escort back to your ship?" "I only say this because I imagine this will go on for some time."
-
*I get up* Forgive me but I think I will return to my ship
-
...///INCOMING MESSAGE ...///SUBJECT: Cain online. Resume negotiations.
-
Edited by General Percival: 6/11/2015 4:40:31 PMI acknowledge the message and return to the dome, taking my seat across from him. "Well then, shall we begin?"
-
"Certainly. After some speculation, we've decided it best to go with a simple 'landlord's agreement.' Pay the rent, and you will be permitted to do as you please, within reason. I am listening for objections."
-
"You've hollowed out the planet and replaced it with this 'mind' as you call it. You must know planets die with out their cores. I also would not have my people sit on top of a machine that can alter reality. Meddling with time is not wise, you might change something only to realize what you had before is better than the alternative. This landlord's agreement as you call it is little more than thinly veiled Imperialism. Such things will not be tolerated by the people. They had enough of it in the 20th, 21st, and 22nd centuries."
-
"If it were to be hollowed and left as such, yes, the planet would die. The Mind is a more than sufficient replacement— most would say it surpasses the usefulness of a core of molten rock. You don't seem to understand the benefits, opting instead to label it as imperialism in an attempt to abuse our kindness and drive us out." "This will not be tolerated."
-
Edited by General Percival: 6/11/2015 5:34:17 PM"You are not the first species to threaten us. You speak of benefits but I see nothing but destruction. I call you imperialists because that is what you are. You do not like that we will not bow to you. Humans will out live the ingus, and should we go to war We Will burry You. Your threats do not impress me."
-
"Truly, I tire of threats you cannot fulfill. So I please, I could simply take your earth and fling it into another dimension. Or, perhaps I'll simply delete you humans." "Were it not for the Council, I would not be here. You would be a fleet of ash and cinders. You will be grateful for the mercy they have shown, and you will attempt to be reasonable. I came to listen to counterproposals, not empty threats of war."
-
"We are done here, try to stop me leaving and there will be consequences, delete me from existence and you will not like what you find" I get up and leave just like that.
