Hell all you have to do to get a win against me is show up. My last 4 passage cards have been 0-3. I consider myself a decent PvP player, but when it comes to ToO I engage full on derp mode when it starts. All I want is to get to the lighthouse, but I refuse to be carried. Any tips from any of the flawless people out here?

I just keep getting shît teams. It sucks to loose a game when you hve a 2 kd
-
I'm never on shit teams I just seem to brain fart every time in the trials.
-
That happens to me sometimes too. Like when your aimed in on somebody's head with a sniper and in stead of the trigger you pull the bumper (on xbox) and melee the air and then the other person snipes you in the head
-
Communicate and revive. My KD is like .8 but I get so many revives they have to kill us 2-3 times each. Once we get a kill we snipe the body
-
Getting revives isn't always the way to win. If they keep killing you, all you're doing is feeding their super bar and that's not good either. When your last alive try making them come to you and attack them individually or set up traps w grenades lol it's easy to clutch a 1v3
-
If you're consistently winning when it's 1vs3.....then you must play against some bad teams
-
They weren't bad teams. They were pretty solid you just gotta know when to charge at some one the right way. On widows court last week plenty of times a friend would get sniped and we'd be forced to flee into the broken church. It wasn't always a win but you just gotta play your cards right and know how to counter an ambush with good close quarter weapons
-
If it's easy then it's not clutch
-
If you know how to battle them seperately and turn the tides then it's easy. Just learn the lay of the map and run to a spot where you know you can hold your ground with a good close quarter weapon. They'll rush about 4/5 times to get a kill rather than capture the point

I have been in a game that the other team all had positive KDs and we all had negative, but we won because we played as a team and got tons of revives.

Nice attitude! I'll chime in - A) As folks are saying, communicate and stay within revive distance of your team B) Know your skill-set! maintain optimal distance for your best set of skills (IE, I like my messenger PR, so I keep my engagements to long range). back out if you're too close to a TLW or getting sniped by thorn. call team mates for backup C) switch your strategy. Don't always go for the same sniper spot or the same rush. catch them off guard every couple rounds D) Don't get upset - this will massively reduce your ability to think on the fly E) don't be scared to push. Say you get that first kill in the first 10 seconds of the game. I things don't look like they'll go to hell, rush that red orb! that 3v2 advantage means a lot. I hope this helps!
-
Thanks man. I'll have to try some of those out especially the not getting upset one ha ha.
-
You should get me on your team, get that 0-3 quicker. Ha ha.
-
revives! try to stay away from 2v1 engagements & make calls
-
Play rumble during the week. With a sniper equipped. It'll feel like a breath of fresh air when you step into a trials match.
-
Thanks I'll have to try that out.

Strategy and teamwork are the keys. Take the time to develop 1 or 2 core plays that your team can utilise. Try not to wonder off too far and get killed in a spot where you can't get revived.
-
Yeah we do that or try too. Last week was a little rough on me because I had never played that map before ToO. We did decent when it was on the burning shrine and Pantheon. I guess I just wasn't comfortable on that map.
-
Do your teammates have mics?
-
Yes. I don't know if we are just trying too hard or if we are just worse than we thought we were ha ha.
-
The only good advice I can give is that if you aren't a good sniper, start training.
-
I'm a decent one but the other people I play with aren't that great at it. I've been practicing since before HoW came out because I knew it would be key to winning.
