I have mixed feelings on this.
Would I like to head to the Lighthouse? Sure.
Do I want it handed to me like some sort of charity event so I can then flock to the forums and brag about how awesome I am that I made it there? Not so much, and you know that at least 25% of the -blam!-ers will do it, too.
I kinda like the fact that the elitists make another run at it after they've done their three for the week. It makes people like me with a mediocre skill set play a little better every time.
My FT and I learn from our mistakes. If a proverbial "mudhole" is stomped in our collective rear ends, then next time maybe we won't go that way, or use that tactic.
You're not going to get better at something by having it handed to you. Losing is a part of life that should be embraced and utilized to make yourself better, both in the game, and IRL.

You've worked long hours all week, let your friend buy you dinner.

That's nice every once in a while, but nothing beats a home cooked meal. Plus you have the knowledge that you can do it again if you need/want to, and on your own. I don't want to have to bug my "friend" every time I want to eat.

I mean, I don't think anyone expects it every time, because obviously everyone isn't going to do it. I dunno. It'd be cute to see it.

This is a great analogy for Trials and people being "given" wins or being carried.
