The Creation of the Achlyophage Symbiote

Warning: Do not take this with a grain of salt as lore. This is a fan fiction, not lore. Also, this is my first fan fiction and is slightly long because I didn't know there was a word count. Other then that, enjoy! “Hello, and welcome to terminal 37. Please state your credentials and password below. Credentials and password entered, verifying……..verification not recognized, activating Protocol 87-A/M-5T-Omega-R/U. Powering down, have a nice day and we hope to see you in hell.” “Ghost, what happened?” “I don’t know guardian, but that protocol is activating alarms shortly. Normally the academies security force would have came, but they are long dead. The alarms will attract the fallen scouts instead.” “That’s bad isn’t it.” “Yep.” “Remotely start the ship and ready it outside. Tell Roland that we need to leave, now.” The Ghost dipped it's head, trying to simulate a nod, went invisible and went on to its orders. Five Years Later A man tapped on the screen. “Bring up the subjects report.” The screen lights up with the report. Subject AC-17-88-Theta. Subject name: Corra. Species: Awoken. Gender: Female. Age: ZE. Stasis field: Steady. Extraction: 50%. Five Years Earlier Bam Bam Bam Bam! Each shot rang out like a storm from Corra’s scout rifle, The Monolith T-6, custom made to fire shots as powerful as the Thunderlord’s. “Where the hell is Roland?!” Corra exclaimed as she fire shot after shot on the oncoming hoards of dregs and shanks, who kept coming in closer towards her ship with every wave. “Guardian, Roland is to get here shortly, or so he says.” Corra didn’t like the sound of that. She and Roland had been fighting the enemies of the traveler since her first week as a guardian. She couldn’t imagine losing him. “He’ll be here. He always gets extracted.” As she says this, she saw a bright light rolling down the hill, followed by pikes. “Roland,” She said. While she was distracted, a vandal using an invisibility device came up behind her and grabbed her neck. It roared in triumph as it started to strangle her, making her drop her scout rifle.. She grabbed a knife from her belt and tried to stab at the vandal, to no avail. She started to go unconscious, only to be dropped to the ground, ether splattered on her. “Knew you needed help sometimes but this? You’re getting clumsy Corra.” “Oh shut it,” She said as she laughed. “Anyway, you got any of the information we needed?” “Yeah, most of it. I stirred up a hornets nest though at the end of the extraction, as you can see. Did you get any of it?” Roland asked. “Unfortunately, no. Either my ghost here messed up,” She glared at her ghost. “Or someone told us the wrong credentials. ”She fired another shot, taking out a couple of shanks. She reloaded her rifle, and as if on cue, a skiff dropped into the area. “Well then...we need to get out of here and talk about this later!” Roland shouted at Corra, handing her his data chip. Taking out his trusty Red Hand IX, he readied it for the fallen on the skiff. Corra readied her scout but started to walk backwards towards her ship. The skiff came to dropping height as Corra got to her ship. “Roland! Get over here!” She shouted. At this point, the skiff had dropped its force, a total of 5 vandals and a captain, all armed to the teeth. Roland brought the hand cannon down, and jumped into the air, energy starting to rush from him. The captain roared, telling his forces to fire, but it was too late. They had been obliterated by the Fist of Havoc. Corra sighed, and went into the ship to check if everything was up and running. “Good, time to get out of here,” She said when she heard a cry of pain. She ran outside to check what was happening. She didn’t like what she saw. Nearing the ship was a badly injured Roland, behind him a vandal sniper using a cloaking device making it near perfectly invisible, something fallen used rarely. “Help, take him out,” Roland rasped as his wounded chest got worse. The sniper aimed another shot, this time at his head. Corra was overcome with fear about what was about to happen, but instead of helping, ran and closed the ship’s doors and started to fly away. The sniper ended Roland’s life. Hours later Corra walked sullenly to the vanguard thinking. She walked into the Vanguards room, threw the chip on the table, and walked away. As she walked back to her ship, she started to tear up. “Why didn’t I shoot the vandal, my scout is more than capable for that. But no, I froze up in my own fear and ran and now Roland is dead,” She said as she started to cry. She walked in her ship, closed its door, and waited for another mission. One popped up soon after, saying for her to find in the hellmouth something of immense power and danger. She accepted, not reading a warning at the bottom of the screen. She loaded her scout, then checked her sniper. Everything was in order. She went to the cockpit and started to fly to the moon. Hours later “There are fifteen thrall, twelve acolytes, five sword knights, and two wizards inside the building, along with what’s outside,” Corra’s ghost said. “Okay, thank you ghost,” As she readied her scope on the first of five acolytes to fall. She fired, not making a single sound from her silenced rifle. The first acolyte fell. Then another. Soon every acolyte outside the building was dead, and not a single hive knew it. She smiled, her aim getting better. “If only Roland were still here to see that,” She said and became sullen again. She reloaded and proceeded towards the entrance, and peeked inside. All the thrall were bunched up, acolytes near to them. “Perfect,” She said, as she switched to firefly rounds. She fired, hit a thrall square in the third eye, blowing it up, which killed the other fourteen. The acolytes look up and aim their guns near the door, readying for when the hunter would walk in. She threw a grenade at the acolytes, which dispersed mini tracking grenades. They started to scramble, running from the grenades, allowing her to slip in. After the grenades blew up, only 4 acolytes were left. Corra took out four knives and threw them at the acolytes, killing them instantly. “Find it,” a voice said. Corra looked around, confused. “Who’s there?!” She exclaimed pointing her gun around. The voice said nothing. “I must be going insane.” She went and picked up her knives, and then proceeded downwards. She heard some cackling, followed by the clashing of swords, the knight’s training. “This should be fun,” She said and went behind a pillar, taking out a special hand cannon. “You are here, burn them,” The voice said. Corra ignored it and activated golden gun. She came out and took out both of the wizards, using only one shot for each of them. The knights stopped training and started charging at Corra. She used her last shot to take down the first two knights, the shot over penetrating, then threw a grenade at the remainder of them. Before the grenade could activate, a knight cut it in half, then made a sweeping motion at Corra, barely missing her. “Yes yes, kill them!” The voice said. She took out two knives and threw them at the knights head, killing it. One of the knights dropped its sword and grabbed a boomer of the wall. She noticed too late, for after killing the fourth knight with her scout, a boomer shot hit her. “Argh, die!” She yelled and charged the knight, which it didn’t expect. She took out two knives and jumped on the knight, stabbing it mercilessly. It tried to pull her off but failed, falling to the ground after being stabbed too many times. She put the knives away and looked at the pedestal in the middle of the room. “You are ready,” The voice said. “Come to the pedestal and put the chip in your helmet.” “And why would I do that? Why would that help?” “It will eat your thought of fear, and leave you full of light. Enough light to bring back anyone!” Her eyes widened, going straight to the pedestal, manipulated into using the chip. She took off her helmet and looked inside of it to open the compartment slotted inside for communications. She took out the communications chip and placed in the dark chip, then placed her helmet back on. As soon as it clicked on, a needle stabbed into her brain, pouring black ooze into her brain. “Argh what’s happening!” She yelled in pain and anguish, trying to pull the helmet off, but to no avail. She fell over, losing all memories of anything, except how to kill and to kill everything. “The symbiosis is complete, now go and kill your fellow guardians, for that will give you light beyond anyone!” Corra stood up, grabbed her gun, and walked away. Five Years Later “What’s happening?!” the man yelled at the A.I., while the alarms kept blaring. “The stasis field is failing sir, you need to leave.” “But the extraction…we need to finish it!” “No time, stasis has already been destroyed and she is breaking through the door. She has broken through the door and is near my core for this room. I am sorry sir. Goodbye.” The A.I. went offline as its core for the lab got destroyed. The women then grabbed a scout from the wall and walked to the man, aiming it at his head. “You will die like the rest,” Corra said, pulling the trigger, killing him instantaneously. She dropped the scout and left. And that is the end. I hope you enjoyed it!
