It actually makes more sense too. I'm sure you've noticed a computer will auto arrange file names by date if the "European" system is used. Sometimes I think the US can be stubborn about the silliest things.

At this point switching to metrics is a logistical nightmare for the US. But I agree the date change thing would make sense, that seems like a stubborn battle.

But the metric system is soooooo much more user friendly...

I agree, I wish it was metric, but like I said the process of switching it all over would be outrageously expensive and time consuming. Why someone decided using this complicated measuring system instead of the infinitely better metric system is beyond me. But we dug the hole too deep at this point to get out D:

Yeah, but I think if we did it a little at a time (start by teaching young kids both) I think it would be do-able. It will just take some time... I am a science major in college so I've used metircs a lot and it is sooooo much nicer.. haha

I'm with you, I don't have the education yoy do, but I can obviously see what's easier. "Multiples of 10? No way man let's get weird with it, 12 inches is a foot, 3 feet is a yard (I don't even understand the purpose of a yard) and like 5280 feet is a mile. That's a measuring system we should use" also I know the US didn't create the system, but that's how I imagine it went down.
