How are people so good at sniping?!
I consider myself a decent sniper, but when I go into Crucible, I'm wrecked beyond belief. There are guys who headshot me the very second they scope in. It's -blam!-ing ridiculous! I don't understand how they do it!
EDIT: A lot of people are saying that they get their skill from Halo. However, I actually snipe very well in Halo, but not-so-well in Destiny.

I get lucky with drag scopes, sometimes I look sick but other times I look like a fool that can't hit a wall.

Try getting the perk "Hidden Hand" on your snipers, it helps.

15 RepliesI was pretty good at Halo 3 Destiny I do just fine but sniping doesn't really take skill in Destiny since they all vary in aim assist. Prayadeth's Revenge is easy mode sniping with high aim assist so is Prudence II. Also other snipers can now be rolled with hidden hand. And let's not forget the cheapness of Final Round snipers.

I saw a buddy of mine get some scotch tape put on center of tv aim his sniper black sharpie dot in the center if his screen ?????? Quick scopes and no scopes COD style no one can be that good unless they part robot

I used to do 4 v 4 sniping in halo. Now I'm average but sometimes they kick in and I can destroy. Other times I get destroyed

Practice makes perfect. Think of Real Krafty. He goes into trials with a NLB and a long bow synthesis and he wrecks shop. The only way he's able to do that is with lots of time using snipers.

Don't listen to the people telling you to use a last round sniper. That wont make you a better sniper. Knowing when to go for a headshot or a body shot makes you a good sniper.

For pvp try an ambush scope. Relatively low zoom compared to the others but most maps don't call for any more zoom then that. Plus it's usually pretty stable so you can follow up with a kill shot if you miss the first one.

Well if you're getting sniped by the QBB, it's aiming for them. That guns aim assist is crazy

Final round perk, body shots kill, also just practice

They might be using final round. Other than that it's just experience and map knowledge.

I got used to sniping but ive seen people put a tiny piece of paper with tape on their screen right where the scope will zoom in, once you memorize where the middle of the screen will be after practicing with the tape you then take off the tape with paper and you will see a great increase in your "quickscoping" skills
