So much hate on Texas! First of all
1. Nobody says howdy
2. rodeos are scarce
3. I know 2 people with farms/animals
4. Barely anyone has a country accent
5. the only pies you'll see are at McDonald's

Bro... Really? That's just ignorant. Now, I've been taught to love those who hate, but I just kinda wanna run you over with my big ass 4x4 screaming "YEEEEEEE HAAAAWWWW" right now. Saying that we still have that mentality is like saying the UK still wants to rule the world or that Germany still wants to segregate those of different religions. And no one in Texas has ever thought that we would do well on our own. If we still wanted to be a country, we wouldn't have ASKED to be annexed. We could still be one of if not the poorest country in the world right now. So no, we couldn't be a successful country even if we seceded. And secession is unconstitutional. We literally can't be our own country RIGHT NOW if we tried. And there is no reason we would. I could list a million reasons why Texas is the most important state in the Union. I could also list a million reasons why it isn't. I could do that for almost every state. Texas wouldn't be Texas without America. America wouldn't be America without Texas. To end this rant with peace, every state needs one another. There is no "best" or "worst" state. There are no "forgotten states." There may be stereotypes for each state, like how southern states are rednecks and how Wisconsin is full of fat people and how California is where all celebrities live. Damn near none of them are true. We are all equal. No one wants to secede. No one could secede. We are all individuals. No one should be grouped by a stereotype. I can't tell you how many times I've been thought of as a ghetto gangbanger because I'm black. No one even walks on the same sidewalk with me. And it breaks my heart to see how people see the world. Before I drag on, I'll end it here. Christ, this is long. Sorry.
