If you keep on going straight past the bonfire there is a ladder on your right hand side. Climb up it open the door drop down. Next there will be a door on your right hand side(enemy in wall be careful) open it and enter next room. There will be 2 manikins in the room that will drop from the ceiling once you enter the middle of the room. Once they do lure them back to the previous room and kill them near the statue so it can take in their souls.
After that you make your way back to the bonfire room(if you don't die first of course). Where you climbed up the ladder the little curricular pad before it becomes an elevator which gives you the key for the next phase.

Edited by M1DN1T3Marauder: 6/14/2015 1:33:16 PMOh, I didn't know the souls are why the golems moved, well I got through and have the key, I remember a locked door but can't find it... Also how would you rate lances, it seems like I'm the only one who uses them. Is there a way to increase the durability of a weapon? Edit- Never mind, the door was right where I left it.

I used the Grand Lance my entire first play through of this rerelease. The pokes are great for cheesing enemies and red phantoms. You can wear the Bracing Knuckle Ring (there's a +2 version in the Undead Crypt) and it will something like halve the durability damage your weapons and armor take.

Ok, thanks. I'm wearing the old leo ring right now, it doesn't seem to help very much, I'll replace it with the knuckle ring then, I forgot I even had it.
