I consider myself a decent sniper, but when I go into Crucible, I'm wrecked beyond belief. There are guys who headshot me the very second they scope in. It's -blam!-ing ridiculous! I don't understand how they do it!
EDIT: A lot of people are saying that they get their skill from Halo. However, I actually snipe very well in Halo, but not-so-well in Destiny.

Edited by Rokon: 6/14/2015 6:58:00 AMBungie does a fine job with aim assisting in Halo and in Destiny. It's also experience from Halo games. Bungie did a fantastic job in making Sniper Rifles work beautifully. Sure the aim assist is there, but you still need to be good to do good. As a competitive Team Fortress 2 player that off-classes Sniper, I know that when I snipe, I twitch shot. I think a lot of players do that as well. not necessarily quick-scoping, but never hesitating to take any shot they can. The worst that can happen is that you miss. And if you don't take a shot, that's a 100% chance of you not killing your target, as opposed to taking the shot and having a lesser chance at it. If you want to avoid getting Headshot often, do what competitive Halo players do: Aim down when you're jumping. This lowers your Guardian's head's hitbox so that it's harder for them to snipe.
